Sculptures by Joesph Canger
Post Date:10/25/2008 Last Updated:10/25/2008

Today I uploaded some sculpture images I have done with one of my favorite artists, Joesph Canger. We have put together some pieces that I feel are timeless. One Piece we did together was in ode to my favorite passing away called "Empty Nest". The cradling of the arms with nothing in them signifies the loss of a much loved pet ferret named Cinnamon. The other sculpture we recently worked together on this year was created using a vase that was found in the trash and a long term idea I wanted to purse in sculpture form. I have a lust for women on the bows of pirate ships and thought this pose could be replicated well on the vase. The rope was added to as a concept of having it secured to the vase…similar to if the woman was carved into the wood coming out of the bow.
